Your Reading Paper has three sections: The Tempest, Myths, and Tyger and/or Private Peaceful and/or Holes

Skills involved

You must know the plot of and characters in The Tempest and Tyger and/or Private Peaceful and/or Holes

You must know some of the myths you covered in class.

You must be able to analyse language.

You must be able to write PEE style paragraphs.

You must have some knowledge of context.

How can I revise?

Revisit classwork notes on The Tempest, Myths, and Tyger and/or Private Peaceful and/or Holes

Write out mind maps and/or flashcards with information about plot, characters and key quotes for each text.

Ask someone to test you on this information.

Practise writing PEE style paragraphs.

Your Writing Paper is focused on skills and knowledge you have practised during Creative Writing modules earlier in the year. 

Skills involved

You must know how to structure a piece of descriptive and/or narrative writing.

You must know how to punctuate accurately.

You must be use a range of techniques to make your writing interesting. 

How can I revise?

Reading fiction; practising spelling, punctuation and grammar; building up a bank of ambitious vocabulary, and practising small pieces of creative writing.
